Choral group at the Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Mother in Point Breeze Philadelphia. Senior Priest Alexeij Gugnin; Sexton-Choir Director seminarist Simeon A. Hemetz. — The choir gained fame not only among the Russians in Philadelphia, but even among Americans and Slovaks. Their concerts in some of the largest American Catholic churches clearly demonstrated the beauty of traditional Russian song — and they were invited to sing on the largest "radio" station in the city. It is also notable that the group received and still receives significant financial support from their church.
