The parishioners of The Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, 223 South Tamaqua Street, McAdoo, Pa., consider themselves fortunate indeed, in having as their pastor, Rev. Daniel D. Ressetar.

Father Ressetar, a graduate of St. Tikhon’s Theological Seminary and Lafayette College, and a choir director in Cleveland, Ohio, prior to to his ordination, served his first Divine Liturgy in McAdoo on August 10, 1958.

Through his guidance and leadership, and with the support of the church committee and parishioners, many improvements have been made to the church properties. The interior of the church has been beautified; the parish auditorium painted; new folding tables and chairs purchased; a garage of block-construction erected; new concrete steps and sidewalks surrounding the church have been installed, and improvements to the Sunday School and rectory house have been made.

In addition to the material improvements, the Sunday School program has been revitalized, the nursery school instituted, Russian language classes offered to children and adults; the F. R. O. C. has been reactivated, and the McAdoo chapter proudly was host to the district convention in late October, 1959. Plans are also being completed for reorganization of a Boy Scout Troop.

Given the privilage of participating actively in thfese improvements, the parishioners haxe experienced a deeper appreciation for their church and have matured spiritually.

Last March, Father and Matushka Ressetar were blessed with a son, Nicholas. We are very happy to have them with us, sincerely wish them every happiness and “Mnogaya Lyeta”.
